All RYA Sailing Courses published here are available to take individually, as a couple, with friends or even as a whole family.   We have also recently introduced 1st ScotSail Training Gift Vouchers so that our courses and experiences are available to give as gifts, either pre-arranged or as a surprise for a friend or loved one.

1st ScotSail Training & The RYA

The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is an international organisation dedicated to the promotion of safe & enjoyable boating.   It is widely accepted by common consent that the RYA is a world leader in the promotion of safe watersports activities.   1st ScotSail Training is member of this organisation and is an RYA Approved Training Centre and, like the RYA, we  are dedicated to the provision of excellent service to all those with an interest in sailing.

We offer a wide variety of courses, all RYA approved and certified meaning those who qualify to their chosen level, receive an internationally recognised qualification.   In many cases, formal qualifications like RYA Certifcates are required in order to charter or use a sailing vessel either in Scotland, the United Kingdom or abroad.   You may also need to have certain qualifications to use legally some equipment, marine VHF Radio for example.
